Senior Solutions Architect

Vinden Recruiting is partnering with an established Canadian technology solutions and professional services organization to identify an experienced Senior Solutions Architect.

About the Opportunity

Our client works with enterprise and public-sector organizations to design, modernize, secure, and manage complex technology environments. Their capabilities span cloud and hybrid infrastructure, enterprise networking, cybersecurity, virtualization, automation, and modern application platforms.

This senior, customer-facing role combines technical architecture, presales consulting, and commercial solution development. You will collaborate with Account Executives, technical specialists, and delivery teams to guide opportunities from initial discovery through solution design, proposals, Statements of Work, and delivery transition.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Presales

• Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer challenges, requirements, and business objectives.
• Partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle.
• Translate business and technical requirements into practical solution architectures.
• Present recommendations to technical stakeholders and senior executives.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers.

Solution Architecture & Consulting

• Design solutions across public cloud, hybrid infrastructure, networking, security, and modern application platforms.
• Assess existing environments and recommend modernization, migration, and optimization strategies.
• Develop high-level architectures aligned with budgets, timelines, and operational requirements.
• Evaluate technologies and collaborate with specialized technical teams.
• Incorporate security, scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency into solutions.

Proposals & Commercial Scoping

• Develop technical proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), and Levels of Effort (LOEs).
• Contribute to RFP responses, pricing discussions, and implementation estimates.
• Identify delivery risks, dependencies, scope gaps, and resource requirements.
• Ensure proposed solutions are commercially viable and realistically scoped.
• Support the transition from presales to delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

• Significant experience in Solutions Architecture, Technical Presales, Cloud Architecture, or enterprise technology consulting.
• Strong customer-facing discovery, solution design, and presentation experience.
• Experience with traditional enterprise infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and data center technologies.
• Knowledge of cloud and hybrid-cloud architecture.
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience developing SOWs, proposals, implementation estimates, or RFP responses.
• Ability to work closely with sales and technical delivery teams.
• Excellent communication and commercial judgment.

Relevant Technical Experience

• AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud
• VMware, virtualization, and enterprise infrastructure
• Hybrid cloud and data center modernization
• Enterprise networking, cybersecurity, and identity management
• Kubernetes, containers, and modern application platforms
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux and OpenShift
• Infrastructure automation, Terraform, and HashiCorp Vault
• Disaster recovery, business continuity, and high availability
• AI/ML platforms and emerging enterprise technologies

Experience with every technology listed is not required. We are looking for strong technical expertise, broad architectural understanding, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines.

Compensation & Work Environment

• Base salary of $150,000–$175,000 CAD, depending on experience.
• Additional performance-based bonus.
• Permanent, full-time employment.
• Fully remote position based in Ontario.
• Approximately 25% customer travel, potentially across Canada.
